A little boy asked his mother, Why are you
crying?
-Because I'm a woman, she told him I don't
understand,
he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, And
you never will
Later the little boy asked his father, Why
does mother seem to cry for no reason?
All women cry for no reason, was all his dad
could say
The boy still didn't get an answer! so he only
had his old grandfather to ask
The little boy asked his grandfather, why do
women cry so easily
The grandfather said, when God made
women, she had to be special.
He made her shoulders strong enough to carry
the weight of the world, yet! gentle enough
to give comfort
God gave her an inner strength to under child
birth and the rejection that many times
comes from her
children
God gave her a hardness that allows her to
keep going when everyone else gives up,
and take care of her family through sickness
and fatigue without complaining
God gave her the sensitivity to love her
children under any and all circumstances,
even when her child has hurt her very badly
God gave her strength to carry her husband
through his faults and fashioned her from his
rib to protect his heart
God gave her wisdom to know that a good
husband never hurts his wife,
but sometimes tests her strengths and her
resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly
And finally, God gave her a tear to shed. This
is hers exclusively to use whenever it is
needed
You see my son, the beauty of a woman is not
in the
clothes she wears, the figure that she
carries, or the way she combs her hair
The beauty of a woman must be seen in her
eyes, because that is the doorway to her
heart

A woman came out of her house and saw
three old men with long
white beards sitting in her front yard. She did
not recognize
them. She said "I don't think I know you, but
you must be hungry.
Please come in and have something to eat".

The old men replied together : "If you had
invited Wealth or
Success, the other two of us would've
stayed out, but since you
invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with
him. Wherever there is
Love, there is also Wealth and Success."
There was a boy who was always losing his
temper. His father gave him a bag full of nails
and said to him, “My son, I want you to hammer
a nail into our garden fence every time you
need to direct your anger against something
and you lose your temper.”
So the son started to follow his father’s
advice. On the first day he hammered in 37
nails, but getting the nails into the fence was
not easy, so he started trying to control
himself when he got angry. As the days went
by, he was hammering in less nails, and within
weeks he was able to control himself and was
able to refrain from getting angry and from
hammering nails. He came to his father and
told him what he had achieved. His father was
happy with his efforts and said to hi “But
now, my son, you have to take out a nail for
every day that you do not get angry.”
The son started to take out the nails for
each day that he did not get angry, until there
were no nails left in the fence.
He came to his father and told him what he
had achieved. His father took him to the
fence and said, “My son, you have done well,
but look at these holes in the fence. This
fence will never be the same again.” Then he
adde “When you say things in a state of
anger, they leave marks like these holes on
the hearts of others. You can stab a person
and withdraw the knife but it doesn’t matter
how many times you say ‘I’m sorry,’ because
the wound will remai

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree
ﻓﻲ ﻗﺪﻳﻢ ﺍﻟﺰﻣﺎﻥ ... ﻛﺎﻥ ﻫﻨﺎﻙ ﺷﺠﺮﺓ ﺗﻔﺎﺡ
ﺿﺨﻤﺔ
A little boy loved to come and play around it
.everyday
ﻭ ﻛﺎﻥ ﻫﻨﺎﻙ ﻃﻔﻞ ﺻﻐﻴﺮ ﻳﻠﻌﺐ ﺣﻮﻝ ﻫﺬﻩ
ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻛﻞ ﻳﻮﻡ ..
He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples,
took a nap under the shadow...
ﻛﺎﻥ ﻳﺘﺴﻠﻖ ﺃﻏﺼﺎﻥ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻭﻳﺄﻛﻞ ﻣﻦ
ﺛﻤﺎﺭﻫﺎ ... ﺛﻢ ﻳﻐﻔﻮ ﻗﻠﻴﻼ ﻟﻴﻨﺎﻡ ﻓﻲ ﻇﻠﻬﺎ ..
He loved the tree and the tree loved to play
with him.
ﻛﺎﻥ ﻳﺤﺐ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻭﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﺗﺤﺐ
ﺃﻥ ﺗﻠﻌﺐ ﻣﻌﻪ
Time went by...the little boy had grown up,
ﻣﺮ ﺍﻟﺰﻣﻦ... ﻭﻛﺒﺮ ﺍﻟﻄﻔﻞ
And he no longer played around the tree every
.day
ﻭﺃﺻﺒﺢ ﻻ ﻳﻠﻌﺐ ﺣﻮﻝ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻛﻞ ﻳﻮﻡ
One day, the boy came back to the tree and
he looked sad.
ﻓﻲ ﻳﻮﻡ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻷﻳﺎﻡ ... ﺭﺟﻊ ﺍﻟﺼﺒﻲ ﻭﻛﺎﻥ
ﺣﺰﻳﻨﺎ
"Come and play with me," the tree asked the
.boy
ﻓﻘﺎﻟﺖ ﻟﻪ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ: ﺗﻌﺎﻝ ﻭﺍﻟﻌﺐ ﻣﻌﻲ
"I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees
any more"
The boy replied.
ﻓﺄﺟﺎﺑﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﻮﻟﺪ: ﻟﻢ ﺃﻋﺪ ﺻﻐﻴﺮﺍ ﻷﻟﻌﺐ

But you can pick all my apples and sell them.
So, you will have money.
ﻭﻟﻜﻦ ﻳﻤﻜﻨﻚ ﺃﻥ ﺗﺄﺧﺬ ﻛﻞ ﺍﻟﺘﻔﺎﺡ ﺍﻟﺬﻱ ﻟﺪﻱ

ﺛﻢ ﺗﺤﺼﻞ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻨﻘﻮﺩ ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﺗﺮﻳﺪﻫﺎ...
" The boy was so excited.
ﺍﻟﻮﻟﺪ ﻛﺎﻥ ﺳﻌﻴﺪﺍ ﻟﻠﻐﺎﻳﺔ
He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left
.happily
ﻓﺘﺴﻠﻖ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻭﺟﻤﻊ ﻛﻞ ﺛﻤﺎﺭ ﺍﻟﺘﻔﺎﺡ
ﺍﻟﺘﻲ ﻋﻠﻴﻬﺎ ﻭﻏﺎﺩﺭ ﺳﻌﻴﺪﺍ
The boy never came back after he picked the
.apples
ﻟﻢ ﻳﻌﺪ ﺍﻟﻮﻟﺪ ﺑﻌﺪﻫﺎ
The tree was sad.
ﻓﺄﺻﺒﺤﺖ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﺣﺰﻳﻨﺔ
One day, the boy who now turned into a man
returned
ﻭﺫﺍﺕ ﻳﻮﻡ ﻋﺎﺩ ﺍﻟﻮﻟﺪ ﻭﻟﻜﻨﻪ ﺃﺻﺒﺢ ﺭﺟﻼ
And the tree was excited "Come and play with
me" the tree said.
ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻨﺘﻬﻰ ﺍﻟﺴﻌﺎﺩﺓ
ﻟﻌﻮﺩﺗﻪ ﻭﻗﺎﻟﺖ ﻟﻪ: ﺗﻌﺎﻝ ﻭﺍﻟﻌﺐ ﻣﻌﻲ
"I do not have time to play. I have to work for
my family.
ﻭﻟﻜﻨﻪ ﺃﺟﺎﺑﻬﺎ: ﻻ ﻳﻮﺟﺪ ﻭﻗﺖ ﻟﺪﻱ ﻟﻠﻌﺐ ..
ﻓﻘﺪ ﺃﺻﺒﺤﺖ ﺭﺟﻼ ﻣﺴﺌﻮﻻ ﻋﻦ ﻋﺎﺋﻠﺔ
We need a house for ########ter.
ﻭﻧﺤﺘﺎﺝ ﻟﺒﻴﺖ ﻳﺆﻭﻳﻨﺎ
Can you help me?
ﻫﻞ ﻳﻤﻜﻨﻚ ﻣﺴﺎﻋﺪﺗﻲ ؟
,"Sorry "

I do not have any house. But you can chop off

To build your house.

" So the man cut all the branches of the tree
and left happily.
ﻓﺄﺧﺬ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﻞ ﻛﻞ ﺍﻷﻏﺼﺎﻥ ﻭﻏﺎﺩﺭ ﻭﻫﻮ
ﺳﻌﻴﺪ
The tree was glad to see him happy but the
man never came back
since
.then
ﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻣﺴﺮﻭﺭﺓ ﻟﺮﺅﻳﺘﻪ ﺳﻌﻴﺪﺍ ...
ﻟﻜﻦ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﻞ ﻟﻢ ﻳﻌﺪ ﺇﻟﻴﻬﺎ
The tree was again lonely and sad.
ﻓﺄﺻﺒﺤﺖ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻭﺣﻴﺪﺓ ﻭ ﺣﺰﻳﻨﺔ ﻣﺮﺓ
ﺃﺧﺮﻯ
One hot summer day,
ﻭﻓﻲ ﻳﻮﻡ ﺣﺎﺭ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻳﺎﻡ ﺍﻟﺼﻴﻒ
The man returned and the tree was delighted.
ﻋﺎﺩ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﻞ .. ﻭﻛﺎﻧﺖ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻓﻲ ﻣﻨﺘﻬﻰ
ﺍﻟﺴﻌﺎﺩﺓ
"Come and play with me!" the tree said.
ﻓﻘﺎﻟﺖ ﻟﻪ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ: ﺗﻌﺎﻝ ﻭﺍﻟﻌﺐ ﻣﻌﻲ
"I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax
.myself
ﻓﻘﺎﻝ ﻟﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﻞ ﻟﻘﺪ ﺗﻘﺪﻣﺖ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺴﻦ...
ﻭﺃﺭﻳﺪ ﺃﻥ ﺃﺑﺤﺮ ﻷﻱ ﻣﻜﺎﻥ ﻷﺭﺗﺎﺡ
"Can you give me a boat?"
"Said the man."
ﻓﻘﺎﻝ ﻟﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﻞ: ﻫﻞ ﻳﻤﻜﻨﻚ ﺇﻋﻄﺎﺋﻲ
ﻣﺮﻛﺒﺎ.
"Use my trunk to build your boat.
You can sail far away and be happy.
ﻓﺄﺟﺎﺑﺘﻪ: ﺧﺬ ﺟﺬﻋﻲ ﻟﺒﻨﺎﺀ ﻣﺮﻛﺐ... ﻭﺑﻌﺪﻫﺎ
ﻳﻤﻜﻨﻚ ﺃﻥ ﺗﺒﺤﺮ ﺑﻪ ﺑﻌﻴﺪﺍﻭﺗﻜﻮﻥ ﺳﻌﻴﺪﺍ
" So the man cut the tree trunk to make a
.boat
ﻓﻘﻄﻊ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﻞ ﺟﺬﻉ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻭﺻﻨﻊ ﻣﺮﻛﺒﺎ
He went sailing and never showed up for a
long time.
ﻓﺴﺎﻓﺮ ﻣﺒﺤﺮﺍ ﻭﻟﻢ ﻳﻌﺪ ﻟﻤﺪﺓ ﻃﻮﻳﻠﺔ
Finally, the man returned after many years.
ﺃﺧﻴﺮﺍ ﻋﺎﺩ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﻞ ﺑﻌﺪ ﻏﻴﺎﺏ ﻃﻮﻳﻞ
"Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for
you anymore.
ﻭﻟﻜﻦ ﺍﻟﺸﺠﺮﺓ ﻗﺎﻟﺖ ﻟﻪ : ﺁﺳﻔﺔ ﻳﺎ ﺑﻨﻲ .. ﻟﻢ
ﻳﻌﺪ ﻋﻨﺪﻱ ﺃﻱ ﺷﺊ ﺃﻋﻄﻴﻪ ﻟﻚ
No more apples for you
" The tree said."
ﻭﻗﺎﻟﺖ ﻟﻪ:ﻻ ﻳﻮﺟﺪ ﺗﻔﺎﺡ
"No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite
" The man replied.
ﻗﺎﻝ ﻟﻬﺎ: ﻻ ﻋﻠﻴﻚ ﻟﻢ ﻳﻌﺪ ﻋﻨﺪﻱ ﺃﻱ ﺃﺳﻨﺎﻥ
ﻷﻗﻀﻤﻬﺎ ﺑﻬﺎ
"No more trunk
for you to climb on"
ﻟﻢ ﻳﻌﺪ ﻋﻨﺪﻱ ﺟﺬﻉ ﻟﺘﺘﺴﻠﻘﻪ
"I am too old for that now" the man said.
ﻓﺄﺟﺎﺑﻬﺎ ﺍﻟﺮﺟﻞ ﻟﻘﺪ ﺃﺻﺒﺤﺖ ﻋﺠﻮﺯﺍ ﻭﻻ
ﺃﺳﺘﻄﻴﻊ ﺍﻟﻘﻴﺎﻡ ﺑﺬﻟﻚ
"I really cannot give you anything
ﻗﺎﻟﺖ: ﺃﻧﺎ ﻓﻌﻼ ﻻ ﻳﻮﺟﺪ ﻟﺪﻱ ﻣﺎ ﺃﻋﻄﻴﻪ ﻟﻚ

By Aesop
A Lion had come to the end of his days and lay
sick unto death
at the mouth of his cave, gasping for breath.
The animals, his
subjects, came round him and drew nearer as
he grew more and more
helpless. When they saw him on the point of
death they thought to
themselves: "Now is the time to pay off old
grudges." So the Boar
came up and drove at him with his tusks; then
a Bull gored him
with his horns; still the Lion lay helpless
before them: so the
Ass, feeling quite safe from danger, came
up, and turning his tail
to the Lion kicked up his heels into his face.
"This is a double
death," growled the Lion.
Only cowards insult dying majesty

THE LION'S SHARE
By Aesop
The Lion went once a-hunting along with the
Fox, the Jackal,
and the Wolf. They hunted and they hunted
till at last they
surprised a Stag, and soon took its life. Then
came the question
how the spoil should be divided. "Quarter me
this Stag," roared
the Lion; so the other animals skinned it and
cut it into four
parts. Then the Lion took his stand in front
of the carcass and
pronounced judgment: The first quarter is
for me in my capacity
as King of Beasts; the second is mine as
arbiter; another share
comes to me for my part in the chase; and as
for the fourth
quarter, well, as for that, I should like to see
which of you will
dare to lay a paw upon it."
"Humph," grumbled the Fox as he walked away
with his tail
between his legs; but he spoke in a low growl
."You may share the labours of the great,
but you will not share the spoil".

THE LION IN LOVE
By Aesop
A Lion once fell in love with a beautiful maiden
and proposed
marriage to her parents. The old people did
not know what to say.
They did not like to give their daughter to the
Lion, yet they did
not wish to enrage the King of Beasts. At last
the father said:
"We feel highly honoured by your Majesty's
proposal, but you see
our daughter is a tender young thing, and we
fear that in the
vehemence of your affection you might
possibly do her some injury.
Might I venture to suggest that your Majesty
should have your
claws removed, and your teeth extracted,
then we would gladly
consider your proposal again." The Lion was
so much in love that
he had his claws trimmed and his big teeth
taken out. But when he
came again to the parents of the young girl
they simply laughed in
his face, and bade him do his worst.
Love can tame the wildest.
